Around the globe, technology startups play an increasingly important role in creating economic value and providing new jobs. These technology start ups also play an important role in developing and implementing new ideas and concepts.
Ontario Centres of Excellence (OCE) is an Ontario not-for-profit organization created to drive the development of Ontario's economy by helping create new jobs, products, services, technologies and businesses through partnerships between industry and academia. OCE runs a network of on-campus entrepreneurship activities and incubators at 42 academic institutions in Ontario, with the goal of creating, improving and sustaining a culture of entrepreneurship among students and youth across the province, and integrating these entrepreneurship activities with investors, industry, and other stakeholders in their region.
KIGA Labs is an Ontario organization created to drive the development of Canadian and Korean economy by helping innovative Korean and Canadian startups launch successful global productization, development and commercialization. We also work with Partners that have a proven track record to accelerate growth.
Given their similar mandates and common interests, OCE works to facilitate the exchange and placement of KIGALabs' startups within OCE's network. KIGALabs wishes to host OCE network startups to help each other's startup companies to enter Korean and Canadian markets more effectively, and to share best practices between KIGA Labs and the OCE network on startup support, youth entrepreneurship, incubation and acceleration; and other related activities as mutually determined.
The relationship will support both OCE and KIGA Labs in fulfilling their respective mandates and ensuring their efforts to do so will be freely acknowledged by both organizations.
